My mobile multi-track recording services are perfect for recording live performances, video shoots, rehearsal space recordings, live streams and other productions. It’s scaleable up to 94 channels using MADI, ADAT, AES and line level inputs. The mobile rig has recorded at over 100 different venues around the NY Metro area and around the country – from Birdland Jazz Club, to The Carlyle Cafe, to The Cutting Room, to the rooftops of skyscrapers in midtown Manhattan, and basements in Brooklyn. Some artists I’ve recorded live are Cage The Elephant, Emily King, Rev Run, Grace Kelly, Aoife O’Donvan, Joan as Police Woman, Issac Mizrahi, among many others.
I use balanced microphone splitters that I made myself using the design (and transformers) from Jensen Transformers. I use microphones from Neumann, Sanken, Earthworks, Lauten Audio, Sennheiser, Shure as well as boutique audio companies such as MicParts and BeezNeez. My preamps are mostly from boutique companies like CAPI, Hairball Audio, JLM, AML, Five Fish Audio, and Elysia.
